MPD - Music Player Deamon

mpd is the server which both plays the files & severs a list of files to chose from to any client.

And mpd client simply controls the server by selecting which track to play change volume, etc.

    I have been using in a reasonably revealing system, and compared to my other sources - pc with media monkey / jriver / xbmc this to my ears wins hands down, infact I was shocked at the difference in separation and attack.
